Noah's Excavator Party

Here's just a few pictures from Noah's final Birthday Bash.
This was his Excavator party with all his friends.
Unfortunately I didn't take a lot of pictures. I got most of it on the video camera, which I don't know how to hook up to the computer.

This is the excavator cake I made. The body was quite easy, just 2-9X13's cut up, it was the arm and scoop that had me stumped for the longest time. I ended up using rolled up cardboard for the arm and covering it with icing, and the scoop was made out of chocolate that I tinted orange. I made one out of paper and then poured a couple of layers of melted chocolate over it. I was happy with the results.

This was the cake after 12 adults and 11 kids (all 4 and under) got at it.

Here are the boys after the party putting together Noah's first Lego set.

Luke's prayer

Last night when I was putting the boys to sleep, Luke insisted that he had to pray first before anyone else. This was his prayer. " Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord wake me with the morning light... Dear God, please help me and brother to stay awake! Amen!"

More of the boys

Sorry, I pushed Enter when I shouldn't have and the previous post posted before the video was uploaded. On a brighter note, I think I'm setting my own personal best record for highest number of blogger posts in one day. I really have done a lot of other stuff today too. I was at church all morning with Moms group, we made a trip to Dollarama, we cleaned up the kitchen, drove downtown to pick up Nath, had an estimate for a new furnace, made supper, did a webcam with Rach after opening the packages, ate supper and now putting up a quick post before heading to skating lessons. Sorry I'm just waiting for the upload to finish....

The Hockey Jerseys- For Rachie and Eeky

The Boys have been waiting for two very special packages from Uncle Eric and Auntie Rachie
They finally arrived today!
(Noah was a lot more excited than he's portraying in the picture)

This is the video of the opening of the packages

Florida, Part Two

Here'a few more pictures from Florida:

This is The Hulk roller coaster
The ride only lasts for about 90sec.

This is the entrance to the Dueling Dragons Roller coaster.
There are two cars that run simultaneously, one red and one blue, and it's the kind where your feet just hang. Well when the two roller coasters cross paths it's so close that you feel that you have to tuck in your feet in to prevent losing them!

The boys reminscing about the Lego they had as kids.
It took them a long time to get out of that store.

These next pictures are from Noah and Luke's holiday in Winkler. Including the first of three of Noah's birthday parties this year. The first was at Nath's parents place in Winkler, the next one will be a joint party with cousin Jack and the third is at our place on his actual birthday with a bunch of friends.

This is at Frank and Helen's (Eric parent's) feeding the baby cow.

Do you think he liked it?

You can never have too much of McQueen!

Florida, Pt One

Nath and I recently had an opportunity to travel to Orlando with our good friend Al and Rach. So our parents graciously offered to watch our boys for us and we spent 4 nights in Florida. We had a wonderful time. Highlights included golfing for the boys, Islands of Adventure at Universal Studios and walking Main Street Disney, where we saw the Cirque du Soleil show "La Nouba".

Me, Rach and Nath going down Rip Saw falls

This is how drenched we were after going down twice
fortunately this was the last ride of the day
but we did still have a very soggy walk back to the car
