So for those of you who haven't heard yet, we're having another baby. So here's the answers to all your questions:
Due beginning of November, yes it was planned, no I'm not hoping for a girl, I really don't care as long as it's healthy, but we would like to find out ahead of time. The boys will be 3-1/2 and 4-1/2 when baby comes. And I'm feeling really nauseous. I think that should cover the basics.
We had our first midwife appointment with Toni yesterday. It was so great to see her again. This is our third time with her. It was pretty low key, we spent a lot of time catching up, going over the paperwork and talking about the logistics. She is sending a referral to Genetics just to be on the safe side. Not that there is any concern, they just want to cover all the bases. So we'll probably have an early fetal assessment to make sure this baby is healthy. We'll also get Luke's cardiologist to do an ultrasound to double check the heart. Our chances of having another heart baby are very, very slim. It goes up from 1% chance to 2% chance, because we've had a heart baby before. So this baby will be very well investigated.
The boys are also excited about the baby. Luke has asked for a sister, and would like to just go pick it up from the store( if only it were that easy). While Noah has asked for a brother. So at least one of them will get what they want. They have been talking about where the baby's going to sleep and where the baby's going to sit in the car and which vegetables they are going to plant in the garden for the baby. It's all very sweet. I think they will be good helpers when the baby comes.
